What Is “Watertown 4 Kids?”

Great Expectations is a site for the Watertown School District’s four year old kindergarten preschool program, “Watertown 4 Kids”.  This program is available to all children who are four years old by September 1 and reside within the Watertown Unified School District or Open Enrolling into the district.  The preschool class is offered in a morning or afternoon session and is taught by a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licensed kindergarten teachers.

Childcare is available in Great Expectations regular preschool room for children who need extended care before and after their 4k program. Children in the Watertown 4 Kids Program will learn positive values with an emphasis on character education. This would include integrating life lessons on trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

What Will My Child Learn?

Children will participate in play activities that provide rich learning experiences. A focus on learning through play allows children to gain skills in all areas including: social-emotional, cognitive, creative expression, early literacy and self-help. Teachers will use materials and curriculum that enhance those experiences through a hands-on approach.

It is really easy to get your 4 year old signed up for this program.
